Dominic Calvert-Lewin watch

It’s nonsense like this on top of looking for (rumoured) 4150k pew that has soured it. He did have one good season and scored some big goals…. But delusional and felt he was better than Everton.
His record very much suggests otherwise

I can understand why he did that, or why any professional sport and would tbf. He needs a fresh start and to try and put any troubles/failures on to us, to get that mentality of being a top striker back.

Obviously didn't work out last night, look at it another way, within a few mins he's put himself in position to get those chances. If they keep providing him with that many he should score and then when you get that run of form going, it becomes easier to put the ball in the back of the net.

I am baffled by how much the Leeds fanbase seem to dislike him. Yes, he may not be the player they had hoped to sign, but that is not a valid reason to dislike him and does not justify those chants from their travelling fans. What has he done for them to seemingly dislike him so much? He may have scored a couple against them when playing for us, but that still does not justify their ill will towards him. Plenty of players who have scored against us have gone on to join us and enjoyed backing from our supporters. Maybe I am reading too much into it, when the reality is that Leeds have such an awful fanbase.
A player nobody wanted.
And they believe if he's not good enough for Everton etc etc.
And he is,as others have said,Bamford mark 2.

Add to that, there`s a good proportion of them that are EDL / Reform voting scum and his fashion sense doesn`t sit too well with them.

He got a bit of stick on here for his wacky androgynous clothes, but it was by and large tongue in cheek, it seems to be personal with them.

You have to bear in mind, that Leeds supporters seem to hate everyone who isn`t like them or isn`t from Leeds, that includes if you come from places like the villages that form some of the suburbs of Leeds - " not proper Leeds "

They`re proper scum mate.

He hadn’t even gotten onto the field yet, and those knobs were already chanting that rubbish. 🙄

what was they chanting?

Respectfully disagree.

I agree players aren’t my mates or generally my enemies, although for the latter there are a few like Pepe I make exceptions for!

However if I have liked a player for either his personality or his play style or both I can’t just switch that off when he leaves our club and act like they just don’t exist anymore. Particularly if they have had some health issues, either physical or mental, I’d like them to do well.
Yes in general I don't hate most Everton players who have left Everton. You can still have respect for a player, despite him leaving Everton, but at same time I couldn't care less if Richarlison scores a hat trick against Arsenal for Spurs. My issue is with celebrity culture, where people think they develop a personal love or hatred for somebody they don't know. It's like Ian St John was supposedly one of the nicest people you could meet, even though he played for Liverpool. I've known Liverpool fans who have said Jimmy Case was a nasty piece of work on and off the pitch. I can only judge DCL as a player, for Everton and say he was pretty average at times and missed numerous sitters. He held out for an amount of money he didn't deserve, thought he would end up at Arsenal and has ended up at Leeds whose fans are already mocking him. I can't say I wish him well, due to way he left, but at same time fans forget players are human beings and I wouldn't abuse him on social media either.
