Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

We can dream.

Seriously he should get out of that cess pit for the good of his career.
I'd wager he's fi idhed as a
The thing is that both players and the league keeps developing.

I liked the idea of McNeal when he was brought in with the idea of playing as an inverted right wing. But he didn't have to play many minutes before it became clear that his lack of pace would hold him back. On the first few metres there can't be many players in the league slower than McNeal. He can't beat a man, so we have to play him on the left where most defenders are happy to let him go down the sideline.

James is very quick. Among the quickest in the league. He terrifies defenders and force teams to defend deeper than what they like. James pace and McNeal's lack there of was the only reason Garner was played ahead of McNeal at Elland Road.

I think it was Opta that had numbers showing that players in Premier League sprint 20-25% more now than when they started collecting these stats 6 or 7 years ago. Slow players that previously got away with it struggle these days.

Anyway, the idea that Leeds could be interested in signing McNeal is still crazy. New American owners with strong focus on stats in control now. They have clear ideas of what it takes to avoid relegation. They've only signed tall and strong players this summer. More physicality are supposed to keep them in the league. Not slow and weak players that usually shy away from duels.

And the just got twatted by 5 at Chelsea mate

One name randomly mentioned by ‘Benj’ on Bobble’s podcast was Rocco Reitz from Borussia Monchengladbach. 23, holding midfielder and I believe he was pretty impressive in the U21 Euros, might be one to keep an eye on.
Was it an actual link as in we're interested btw? What did he say?
