Agreed. I have no doubt they will bring a degree of commercial creativity, pragmatism and professionalism to the club. I expect everything to be monetised within an inch of its life. The jury is out though on the most important thing, our performance and results on the pitch. We should all take a wait and see approach.

They need to address everything you mentioned above first and foremost because without growth in commercial revenue the results on the pitch can’t be changed. So it’s positive they are making these changes, the club needed modernising and commercialising!

I know as fans we don’t like that but if want to compete then we have little choice!

…..had to look NBA up, thought it might be baseball but it’s basketball. Seems a bit odd, indoor court game in a footy stadium. Basketball, one of those rare sports I just can’t take to.

Like with boxing at Wembley or at Goodison, a canopy is installed over the court/ring.

People used to moan about how we were run commercially under the old board, now we seems we have a new commercial partner on a weekly basis and people aren’t happy as they should be focusing on the team. Without this increased revenue, we wouldn’t be able to make progress on the pitch. Success isn’t going to happen overnight. We have to show patience. For gods sake if there’s one set of fans thats shown patience it’s us!

Don’t know how much that would have cost, but we would have cleaned up with all the boxing events and many concerts too. However Deis said it was always a football venue first and foremost not an events one.

I've played basketball outside all of my life. No roof.

They do the same for ice hockey, it's an exhibition match, don't think they need the roof. They played college basketball games on an aircraft carrier (why, I don't know).
