Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

What Grealish showed without doubt, is if you add very very talented players to a side, by and large others improve around them, especially younger players.

So when thinking about who you'd want to see signed maybe think bigger, Brownhill or Soucek, or a busted knees Leicester right back aren't improving anyone around them, the two centre mods aren't even positions/roles we need fgs.

We need a proper DM - not a distributor but primarily a ball winner who can hold and cover ground.
We need a right back who can defend but also provide width and overlap.

so go and get two who can start in the side not be backups or cover.

All other positions besides those two are just bonuses - as in if something becomes available we maybe take the opportunity.

Not sure whether we should go for a beast defensive midfielder or a total baller who could ping the ball about and be the fulcrum of the team...and isnt a bad tackler also.

You fickle fans MAKE me sick!

All these transfers and millions spent DOES NOT distract ME from a GLARING HORRIFIC MISCARRIAGE from TFG and EVERTON.

HANG YOU HEADS IN SHAME GOT!

WHERE THE FLIP WAS THIS ⬇️ SATURDAY

Scandal that has been "ironically" covered up by THE RED ECHO and NATIONAL Media.

I will not comment on a single rumour until THIS IS RETURNED!

I do wonder whether when they wheeled that out there were a few murmurings of it looks a bit iffy, then once they saw the online comments thought yep, let’s get rid of that then 🤣.
Reckon we’ll another one soon enough, only the correct size and colour.
Keep the poor little sausages away from the hi-fiving, autograph hunting kids. (And meat pies after they’ve had an absolute stinker against a Div 2 team in the cup)

Wonder how far off fitness Mangala is? Would we go back for him as another loan with a view to buying to test his long term fitness?
I don’t think so mate, he did his acl in January and it is 9 to 12 months, so he might be able to run on the grass again in September, but not going to be fully fit till April. There are surely other midfielders out there, we’re being linked with Mainoo and Paqueta

Lucas Paqueta from West Ham linked. An attacking midfielder, I thought we had enough who can play that role but we shall see, personally I don't believe it's true.
I would prefer a holding midfielder, protect the defence, a real hair pulling, biting, wind up snide.

It seems West Ham need the money, I guess they are being PSR’d right now. I could see Paqueta being played in an AM role and KDH being played deeper, next to Gana.
I would imagine the fee for Paqueta would be big though, also City might come back in for him, they were linked before all the betting stuff.

From The Athletic Deal Sheet post:

Everton have been informed of West Ham United’s desire to retain Tomas Soucek after lodging an enquiry for the Czech midfielder. The Merseyside club are keen to strengthen in the centre of the park before next Monday’s deadline and showed an interest in Aston Villa’s John McGinn earlier this summer. Soucek, 30, was a favourite of Everton manager David Moyes during their time together at the London Stadium and fits the bill as someone who could add athleticism and physicality in midfield. Soucek’s Premier League experience also counts in his favour, with stalwart Idrissa Gueye likely to compete for Senegal in AFCON this December. West Ham, though, are unlikely to sanction a sale unless replacements are found. Patrick Boyland and Roshane Thomas

Following have been linked, some tenuously. Probably forgotten a lot.

RB

could see loan from Roma (Rensch or Celik), been mentioned. Would be a quick deal, easily done last minute. Would explain lack of links or urgency last few weeks.
Ewijk - probably not got the cash.
Fort - maybe on loan or bought with experienced Roma RB on loan.

C(D)M

Lopy was linked (want to believe toffeenut - DION).
Frendrup - probably too expensive unless we sell.
Mainoo - purchase price prohibitive. Loan definitely.
Santos - not sure they'd let him go. Loan perhaps.
Soucek - not sure is what we need
Hackney - price, profile and age probably don't fit.
Brownhill - see soucek

ST - bonus. Mitrovic or Toney? Would mean chermiti goes, perhaps even Beto.

Either way, after the win. Pressure is a bit less.
Let's enjoy the rest of the ride.
Long live everloan.
Destroying windows past and present.
