2025/26 Youssef Chermiti

Being linked with a loan to Rangers so big nose clearly remains a fan.
Got a feeling of last chance saloon if he goes (can only see that if there’s another striker available for us).
If he can stay fit and replicate Igamame’s form he may have a future with us, if he looks more like Egil Ostenstad then I expect it’s adios.
Lad needs to play to learn and develop, he isn’t going to get the time here so it would be wise decision for both parties to let him go.

….surely if he’s a talent he’d be getting the game time. The best young players force their way into contention, maybe Chermiti isn’t very good.

A lot of posters still seem to think this lad is going to be tops, just give him games and he’ll magically be just what we need. Here’s hoping but I’m not sure it works that way in reality.

Moysie likes to bed them in, so to speak.

….its not as if Moyes and Dyche have had plentiful striker ammunition during Chermiti’s time here.

It’s a Groundhog Day discussion, I’ve never been impressed only time will tell if he’s our future striker.
If they haven't had great alternatives, he should have had more game time if he has any quality, but as I say, I think Moysie isn't one to over-commit when it comes to young players.

…..if he was top drawer Moyes would use him, have no doubt about that. Be fascinating to watch if he goes to Rangers.

First point, absolutely. Second, I’ve no idea really from the glimpses I’ve seen, however he needs to go somewhere and play, let him find his level - whatever level that ends up being be. Ultimately my perspective is that I want to see the kids that do get a shot at this gig go on and make a living in the game, hopefully that’s with us, if not, no worries I still try to look out for the names I remember. These kids are being graded and eyeballed from the age of 8 if they make it through, then “Godspeed, go and smash it”
