I saw him linked there a good couple of weeks ago like (I only remember because I thought it was a good move for them). God knows how long before that they were negotiating etc.
I think people think their club is way worse then anyone else. But it's just because we're focused on that, see the rumours etc. We've got a saga on at the moment at Sunderland with a CB that's been running several months for example.

I'd give anything to understand what actually goes on in transfer windows for my team. After a really positive start/ middle of the window it's been pretty quiet for weeks at Sunderland - and we're deffo one or two short. You're just never sure if there's deals in the pipework that are being held up for one reason or another, if there's deals that were gazumped by other teams, or if our budget has just run out!
Long felt that I'd be great for the drama of the sport if ten years after the window, teams had to publish who they put an official bid in for!
Really intrigued to see what West Ham, Palace, Wolves and Brentford do in the last week of the window - all feel a little short. Also surely Newcastle will want a few more in with Champions League football coming up.
