Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

It is pretty disheartening that this is not going to be the transformative summer that we had hoped for. I had pretty high hopes and this is not what I expected, but I am beginning to accept it.

Clearly we don't yet have structures in place off the field to push the club forward. The jury is clearly still very much out on the new ownership and the people they have put in charge.
You don't need structures in place to sign a Right hand side of a football team.
Just a suitable person or persons to identify and sign them.

In any other business it's gross incompetence.

Still not over it could be a massive debacle and you could argue it was a failure due to the squad issues not being addressed by the first game , which is valid. I still think there's an opportunity to salvage this window and still come out of with property equipped for the season. Until the transfer window closes proclamations will have to be put on hold one way or another
You sir are far too sensible

It's going to be OK at best at this stage. If we don't add players, a relegation battle is likely. Best case scenario is we get a couple of good players. But it's not going to have the huge impact that I thought was possible this year.

I thought this summer was a once a decade type opportunity to completely overhaul a really average squad, but we've made a mess of it.

The most frustrating thing to me is they've not had any strategy, or at least they haven't stuck to any plan or strategy. We've just gone from player to player hoping for the best and haven't focused on priorities.

Apparently it was a fiction utilized in setting up a sting, to ensnare the leak at Finch Farm

Just rewatching this from nearly a month ago, Kinnear mentions multiple times about deals getting done nearer the end of the window and how we’ll be much stronger by September 2nd. Maybe I’m just clutching at straws but it certainly makes me wonder if all this stalling has been by design…
