Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

100% mate im as disappointed as everyone else.

I just keep reminding myself that this is mid way through a 18 month rebuild of the squad.

Im willing to wait till the end of the deadline till i make my opinion on how well the window has been. But as of this moment its worrying its take this long to bring in anyone for the right wing.

taking a guess I reckon a lot of the worry/ irritated feeling from some blues comes from what has happened here many times before, a sense of “here we go again” kind of thing.

What has been going on here is bound to cause some sense of cynicism and trepidation. I doubt most fan bases would be any different.

Im too bored of it to worry, any genuine positive is just a nice surprise these days mate

I don’t want to criticise him too much as he’s done a good job steadying the ship since coming in but I think Moyes is partly to blame for the angst in the fanbase atm. End of last season/early summer he was chatting ‘unprecedented summer’ and ‘elite players for an elite stadium’.

This summer was a chance for a hard reset with new owners and a new stadium, but like you say it’s the same old Everton so far and it will take a monumental effort in the next 11 days to change people’s minds.

There does appear to be money there.

If it was one "big" signing + three loans, that's enough to potentially transform our season and I'd be over the moon.

It's this talk about disagreement though that is deeply concerning. Imagine having more resources to strengthen the squad and not doing it because they can't agree. It would be the most "Everton, that" thing since that term took common parlance.

So we can't be sure or expect this disagreement will magically resolve itself next week ready for Sept. 1.

It's the way they have killed any sense of progress stone dead though and made what should have been an exciting summer into such a slog and borefest, culminating in justified questions of everyone in leadership positions at the club.

They just have to make everything so difficult, don't they?
