Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Alan would probably be better off X at this stage. It seems he feels a residual obligation to engage with fans as an ITK when he is about as sourced as I am.

Replying with "I've not heard anything" or fingers crossed emojis - I don't know why he or anyone else bothers.

He should enjoy his free time after leaving Sky.

He`d be better off joining forces with Elton Welsby.

That way they could keep each other company in the Tommy Frost and Al could act as communications officer for Elton on his Twitter account, whilst he got bladdered on pints of Stella at £2.80 a pop and also make sure Elton didn`t get battered in the bogs (again )

Hope everyone is well on this lovely August Thursday? Try to be content in the knowledge that even if Everton had made signings this week they were never going to get straight into the team for the Brighton game regardless, so when you think about it, it’s more money saved on wages.
I fully expect recruitment efforts to intensify in the next 10 days.

I feel lf they ever met up , Elton would try glassing Alan but that's just me

I reckon the transfer committee all just walk around dead fast with a stern look on their face so it looks like they’re dead busy. Helps if you’re holding something too.
Definitely busier than the committees from previous years. They hadn't even started work at this point in August yet.
They struggled to make 7 signings even on Footy Manager.

100% mate. We tried to stay the traditional club for far too long imo and we got left behind and now we are playing catch up and probably trying to do a bit too much at once in theory. We still seem very reluctant to do the head coach thing, going back to Moyes from Dyche both old school manager types which we still seem to go for. One day we will get there I'm sure.
It’s nothing to do with the structure and more to do with a reluctance to reach into their pockets.

You can have a transfer committee, executive scouts, a director of football and a team of independent data analysts, but it’s not going to do much if they won’t stump up the asking price for players!
