2025/26 David Moyes

I have said before that Moyes openly grumbling about the transfer difficulties was a touch ingenuous. As you point out the changes brought in ( including a former associate) , placed him very much in amongst what is currently a very small committee (some appointments are currently pending).
I am not saying he doesn’t have complaints ,but at that point they should have been kept private.
Lacking ready access to the media , the other members of the transfer ‘committee’ had no easy way to defend themselves against any perceived failings on their part.
So why do it publicly?
Moyes is too experienced and too canny an operator to make a mistake like that . It was political and deliberate to cover his own part in the failings and to deflect any responsibility. In my opinion.
Contrast this to when he was here previously, while he pointed out the obvious financial difficulties we faced he never pointed the finger at Kenwrights inability to finance the club .

I think hes been disingenous all window.

I agree that Moyes will emerge as the loser but in truth neither he nor Kinnear can emerge with any credit unless there is a big upturn in transfer fortunes over the next 12 days. In all likelihood now it's coming down to the last day.
I’m not so sure tbh, if there’s one thing the Texans will recognise, it’s the hierarchy of responsibility, and Kinnear is at the top of that.
IMO Moyes moaning in preseason, and his comparative success after his appointment, will buy him more time than Kinnear.
That said Kinnear clearly isn’t daft and has appointed a load of his chums, no doubt to protect his position.
Will probably come down to who has Marc Watts ear.

Its Moyes. He always grumbled about transfers. Either about the window itself, lack of funds, agents, etc.

It's see what happens before the window SLAMS SHUT.

Anyone else miss the transfer deadline day coverage on sky outside grounds? The mutants of those who gsthered and their antics were usually the best bit.
Yeah was great that, think dildo gate saw the end to it

Odemwingie turning up at other clubs training grounds, was a great watch

He's successfully navigated us into his favoured position: threadbare Everton "lucky to have him" and looking to scrape the 40 points for early declaration of safety.

This is why he should never have been handed a contract.

TFG should have had the brass balls to push on with their own man.

Despite how bad things currently are, I still think he is the right man to lead us forward through these turbulent times Dave. We are a mess. I have no doubt that if things are still terrible in a few weeks after a few games, they will pull the plug anyway. They have a history of not waiting very long. Fingers crossed things pick up very quickly though. I hate being crap.
