Have the new people staffing the transfer team ever done this job before?Too early to judge as the recruitment team have literally just got through the door. I'm not going to judge them on one incomplete transfer window as I have a bit of patience
Our one or the young one?Is Gana Gueye talking to West Ham?
Fair I'm sure you're right, you think they've made enough from sales to be able to spend this much though?Theyve moved a lot more than 1 on.
About what . Pie and mash ?Is Gana Gueye talking to West Ham?
I’ve listened to it twice. 100% he never said it. He said the club will be looking at budgets and wages and maybe we could get someone on a free who wants 120k a week and we probably wouldn’t do that right now as it may effect what else we can do later on. It was nothing to do with brownhillThat is what he said. He used him as the example of how we are struggling to meet contract demands of even a free agent like Brownhill.
Plenty of theories. Maybe too many cooks in the kitchen? Maybe Moyes has a different vision of who to bring in and he's not on the same page with the recruitment team? Maybe the new recruitment team are being cautious after years of mismanagement at the club? Maybe the players at the top of our shortlist aren't available or the clubs are making it difficult to do a deal so we're testing their resolve? Take your pickHave the new people staffing the transfer team ever done this job before?
If they have surely they must be familiar with lots of suitable (to our team and budget) players who might be available.
If they are inexperienced (which I’ve read on here they aren’t) why does it look so efn hard to get the job done?
Serious questions so sensible answers please.
Same starting line up for SundayNot even a sniff of a link today?
Oh I know. But the fact of the matter is we are here. We’re now very much into “get some squad fillers in or we will be in a relegation battle” territory in this window. A disgrace that we’ve ended up here, and heads should roll for it.
We have money, but we ain’t spending 4.5mil of it on brownhillI think that's a fair bit of the anger really mate, and unfortunately it gets directed at the likes of Brownhill when it's not really his fault.
Unfortunately though, at this stage of the window, unless you have serious money (which evidently we don't) you are now largely taking caste offs of different types.
Ah... ThanksOur one or the young one?
His name was linked a week ago, no prem experience, so that’s in the binApparently Moyes is after right-back Kellen Fisher, from Norwich. 21 years old. Apparently Forest interested to but then they're after everyone.
No. Read my later posts. We are so close to our budget limit that the club are worried about being able to even offer free transfers of the calibre of Brownhill contracts, if we stump up the money for Dibling.
Which, would make you think the club should walk away. However, bu the sounds of what else was said, the ONLY options left to us if we do at this late stage are Trincão and Fellows. We've basically left it almost too late by the sounds of it.
If it was me, I would just sign Dibling and then scramble round to fill what we can as thebwindow draws to a close, but it sounds like the three stooges on our current committee would rather dither.
