I'm hoping we pull an ace out the bag from somewhere tbh, the whole deal with Dibling is just a bit too expensive imo, we are getting into similar numbers as being talked about in regards to Eze yet there is an absolute chasm between the two players in terms of ability.
It has nothing to do with ability. It’s what their respective clubs value them at.

I do think we still have money to spend but not enough for him. I also think moyes is being bloody minded with targets and needs piping down.

In reality we don't need a world beater on the right wing yet, especially if we don't have the funds ( we possibly need to get into a lower level European qualification cycle for that)

Anyone half decent will make a massive difference as the midfield just has no balance at all. It should not be this difficult to get someone in. Maybe the penny will drop now and we'll be more pragmatic.

It should not be this difficult to upgrade on Jack Harrison without breaking the bank. There's a whole world of players out there. Moyes probably needs to look further than the end of his nose.
Right winger must be better than McNeil or Ndiaye. Why are we using Harrison as benchmark is beyond me and that means someone who is capable of double digit goals/assist.

Well they should be better as those two examples play on the left but I get your point. JH might be a low bar but that's the whole point, he shouldn't be difficult to improve on.

As for guaranteed double digits goals and assists that's gonna cost you.

Dibbling has done sod all and Soton want big money. Why i'd rather we be pragmatic and get two cheaper options on the right with the aggregate of those two players probably equating to what dibbling MIGHT produce AND having more squad depth

City? Liverpool?

Couldn't even name a handful of rapid and/or powerful players between them  they are teams who are supremely well coached above all else, hence their recent success..

City have pace all over the pitch. I think our standards are so low now we just don’t even recognise it. Bernardo Silva is probably their slowest player but he’d probably look quicker than Ndiaye.

Dias and Stones have a whole extra gear over Tarkowski and Keane. I remember Akanji coming to Goodison and steeping into midfield and we couldn’t get near him, we couldn’t lay a glove on Foden either and these aren’t even their quickest players.

It’s the cumulative pace of the team that’s key and we don’t have enough of it anywhere. Buying one quick player doesn’t solve that but we should not be buying slow players. Alcaraz Gana Garner McNeil Tarkwoski Keane Mykolenko Coleman are all too slow and Ndiaye isn’t much better.

Was watching us v Leeds thinking that even if we had this lad, he’d be stood on the right touchline not getting a kick.

Not what I would be spending £50 million on.

He'd be in the inside channel not getting a kick because we're punting the ball to O'Brien on the wing because our striker can't win a header.

I strongly suspect Dibling has never been in play.

He's served his purpose for a club that doesn't want to spend though.
😂😂😂😂😂 we’ve bid 3 times, he wants to come and we want him, im
Peed off that the club aren’t biting the bullet and getting this done
we will be paying over the odds whoever we go for now,
So you may as well go for a player you want. Fatawu will be 40, I’ve seen Trincao mentioned, not sure how much he’d cost, but he’s already failed in tbe league once.

If it doesn’t happen, we will massively regret not getting Dibling in a couple of years.

if we get him and he’s good

wel flip on him at a point

Not great if we have interest in Fatawu though mate.

It really is that bad it's almost hilarious this transfer window.

I never in a million years expected even this clown shoes of an organisation to get shut of about 15 players then bring 6 in - two of them sub GKs.

"Exceptional operators"

"Unprecedented summer".

A gormless CEO at war with a child-like near-OAP manager throwing his toys out the pram; a transfer team - half-assembled - and who answer to owners who dont want to know us or what's going on.

I mean, it's just sensationally off the charts catastrophic.
