Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

You literally mentioned relegation earlier

As for terminal decline, we were literally top five form since January - the best form of the last 5 years I’d wager

I mean, you’re answering your own questions
Our form from Moyes coming in would have seen us 8th actually about 7 points off Europe had that been replicated first half.

But then again it's a silly metric given Moyes always starts seasons awfully then picks up later so as seen now already we'd have likely not have matched that points per game first half of the season.

Guys, work on transfers is being done, we just aren’t hearing about it. To double down on my previous post, there is a clear causal link between a member of senior management publicly calling out employees leaking confidential information to the public, and a sudden dearth of information reaching us. To imagine that this is pure coincidence seems a stretch.

What is more likely? That Moyes calling out the leak has caused a decline in the amount of publicly available information, or that by pure coincidence at the exact time this happened the highly paid, business critical player recruitment team has decided to completely down tools and cease activity entirely? And for what reason would they ever do that? Spite? Ennui?

Work continues people, of course it does. Signings are coming. Wins are coming. I would respectfully suggest that we try to look forward to them.
Not allowed this mate. Reported.

Yeh, it’s bluster tbh but still negates the terminal decline theory. We are not in a brilliant place though

I mentioned relegation in terms of, most people do not believe we will be relegated. Terminal decline refers to a bigger picture. If a team's form spikes for a few months that is usually irrelevant to an overall picture. But, i suspect you know that and are being obtuse.

Well, £500k a week would be a total fee, so £250k a week each. They're currently on more than that so why would they take an enormous pay cut to play for Everton?

Sterling on 325k a week and Sancho on 250k a week. If they both want to play football in a World Cup year then why not? Chelsea paid Sterling's wages when loaned to arsenal last season. Could be an option to do that. If he thinks he is still worth anything above 200k a week, then so be it. But he has to play to go to the world cup.

Sancho on 250k a week with a reported 20mil transfer fee would be 46mil on a 2 year deal.

I think sterling would accept the same, but thats for us to negotiate.

So 40mil transfer fees and 13 mil a year for each for wages. A European place or a cup win means that is money well spent in my opinion...

Why not, reason 1 Sterling is turbo gash. Reason 2 Sancho doesn’t look arsed anymore

BURN THE HERETIC!!!!! :whip:

We are currently 6/1 to be relegated. I think that’s about right at present tbh. Unlikely but it’s not absolutely wild. West Ham and Leeds have just beaten us with barely a shot in response.
