I do find it interesting that Moyes had a pop at the leaks in information getting out and suddenly it’s radio silence from all channels.

Can’t help but think that if you read/heard that and you were a club employee feeding info, regardless of if it was medical info, transfer info or whatever that you would definitely dial it back! Seems obvious they might be looking over your shoulder…

What I find a bit mad about this window is with it being Kinnear’s first in post as CEO and with his mate Nick doing the negotiating, it was a real chance for them to lay down a marker and impress. At this point it looks to be a bit of a damp squib and immediately gives the fanbase a bad impression of Kinnear as this structure was apparently all his idea.

Now, if they somehow manage to get some quality players in the required positions in the next two weeks I’ll be made up but judging by the summer so far it seems pretty unlikely tbh.

Until the window ends and he's not an Everton player, or until he goes elsewhere; that's still a deal under negotiation so doesn't reflect negatively on Kinnear or Hammond as yet.

My point basically is that Patterson was bought as a wingback and we never played that system because Lampard was useless

Patterson is an interesting one...I think he was better then than now...not sure if it's confidence, mental or any physical limitations.
