Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I'm not though. Mikes been in here doing this all day every day for weeks.

For the most part I ignore the rubbish on here but the stuff I'm seeing today is just ridiculous. Sack the manager, sack the recruitment staff. I understand pessimism but it gets to a point where the things being said are just ludicrous.

For the record I don't think everything is great, feel like I've been pretty clear in what I've posted today that we're in an absolutely awful position and have been all summer. I'm just not going to presume what will happen in the last 2 weeks of the window, especially not to view the worst case scenario as an inevitable reality.

People are entitled to think what they want, just as much as I'm entitled to point out that they're being shortsighted and failing to see a bigger picture.

It was more a comment on the shiny happy people in here everyday replying to and laughing emoji-ing every bit of negativity they see, desperately trying to make sure their bubble doesn’t burst. Not necessarily just your particular posts, fair point.

Sack the manager - by picking and staying with Moyes this was always gonna happen. He will have less patience from fans than some new pick, as many will feel like they’ve seen it all before. Mike btw is very pro Moyes, the silly boy.

Recruitment team - I’ve no idea on them. I gather we don’t even know if all of them are fully in place or who is doing what. It’s possible there’s a bigger picture and long term plan. However trusting that any owner of Everton will get it right long term I believe is a very big ask given our history since the 80s. Don’t you think it’s fair enough some people think the current perceived “failure” is an actual failure and indication another poor job is being done short term/long term? That it’s not your or my stance, but that it’s understandable the club has driven many fans to that. I understand why Mike wants them thrown off the roof of the new stadium even if I think it’s a bit extreme. :)

On presuming, aren’t you presuming there’s a decent long term plan happening here, unless I’m reading you wrong?

I hope in a season or two we will be all enjoying a club we can trust to at least try to do things right, but I won’t be assuming anything with Everton.

We should sign Kubo because I want to watch him play football for us. Get it done.
