Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Forest looking impressive and looking far more likely to bring back their glory days than we are. Meanwhile our idiots don’t even seem to have a plan, or at least if they do it’s a very bad plan.
Hard to actually disagree with any of that based on their transfer dealings and performances last season.

Even if this is true, the fact that he has always been nothing other than absolutely crap should have prevented us from going anywhere near him. But the logic being employed was that ‘he’s one for the future, and that one day he might stop being utter horse dung’.

This is where ‘building for the future’ often gets you, investing in a tomorrow that never comes!
You're right football isn't an exact science and you'll make bad signings but better a bad signing on a relativity low wage rather than a Andre Gomes one

What I find a bit mad about this window is with it being Kinnear’s first in post as CEO and with his mate Nick doing the negotiating, it was a real chance for them to lay down a marker and impress. At this point it looks to be a bit of a damp squib and immediately gives the fanbase a bad impression of Kinnear as this structure was apparently all his idea.

Now, if they somehow manage to get some quality players in the required positions in the next two weeks I’ll be made up but judging by the summer so far it seems pretty unlikely tbh.

I disagree. You can’t remove the risk of injury in football, but it is possible to refrain from buying crap players, especially if it’s going to take them three years to possibly stop being crap!
