Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

So what, why would that mean we’re in a relegation battle again next season? Surely if we actually do proper business next summer we should improve and move away from that situation? We could’ve done that this summer but the brains trust at the club decided to hang fire til August thinking that Champions League quality players would suddenly change their mind and want to join us.

As of RIGHT NOW we are one of the worst teams in the league.

If we dont get 4-5 quality players in then - if we stay up this season - we then face the issue all over again of securing those players and the ones who will need shifting out next summer on top: Gueye, Coleman, Patterson etc etc.

We need what they told us they were going to give us: an UNPRECEDENTED SUMMER to break that chain of misery.

They have let us down big time.

Wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest. Reading an article this morning, Kinnear and Hammond were solely responsible for ballsing up transfer windows at their previous club too. It’s a huge concern that we may have hired incompetent people!

It’s very hard to sit here and not wonder what position we’d currently sit in if Thelwell had been given better resources rather than these clowns.

I wanted to keep hold of Thelwell myself, I saw value in who he'd brought in under literally almost impossible conditions financially, he also was after a good few players who post moves sky ticketed in value. Kudus, MGW etc.

I had doubts on Kinnear straight away, Hammond seems like his guy - the others who may change things up aren't in position yet.

Looking at Roma, Kinnear messes up the remaining few days a d we struggle which I believe we will without three-four good players arriving, then he will be sacked by Christmas

Dave I'm actually quite surprised that you aren't just flat-out suggesting that we're down this season. Unusually positive from you mate!
