In the USA Utd, West Ham, and Bounemouth wanted it.
We were dire and lethargic, but point that out and the moronic "bedwetter" jibe is hurled.

That was their strongest side Vs a patched up Toffees.

Even with just Myko in team that would have seen us more balanced and been better able to hold our shape,which makes us a different prospect.

It was pathetic.

Recruitment not there.

Formation not there.

Balance not there.

Motivation not there.

Big Angus was there, probably full of management speak.

the set up for total containment and defensiveness in the first half cost us the most I think. the players were in Dyche mode, and you can't just turn it on second half when you start to get a bit of the ball.

Set up to win the match from the outset, and I think we'd have beat them easily, we weren't playing Brazil 1970 FFS.

Regardless of recruitment etc, we have to be going out there ready for a fight. Leeds at home on opening weekend, I was saying all week it will be a cauldron and we have to be ready for it. Leeds were well up for it and we couldn't get out of our own half early on. Resorting to 40 yard passes from our defenders but really poor passes. We just couldn't get out. I didn't see one player raring to go last night. There was nothing. Not one said "give me the ball, let me have a go", rabbit in the headlights all over the pitch.

There is no surprise the first game has just popped up, every season we can’t keep starting like this. It puts us immediately on the back foot and creates pressure. It’s Leeds that should be 3 points home or away

There’s no excuse for last night! It was the performance that was worse than the result. We didn’t look ready for the PL starting.

At no point did I think we would win this game from when the game kicked off.

Not for me mate, when we had momentum we never looked like breaking a line or testing their keeper, worse i thought our support play was really bad, we knew Illy was going to be swarmed by three, but we never tried to support him, go over and put a boot into someone nor exploited the space the three vacated to go to him.

Leeds out fought us, pressed their luck and got a lucky decision, sometimes you earn the luck when you ask the question.

I think Leeds will go down because i dont see them scoring goals and that penalty was mana for them, its was a rank performance by us.

Last night looked like the Sean Dyche days and not the Moyes of last season.

It’s one game and we will be totally fine this season but we need to stop with these first few games of a season being so poor.
