Don't get me wrong, there have been glaring issues with our recruitment team this summer and the pace of our transfer dealings. My view is that Thelwell should have been given an opportunity to continue in his role, with increased financial backing. All being said, I have a hunch that we will make a signing or two this week.

I would hope having players playing in their natural positions would help the whole team with their composure, but you're right we don't seem to have a player, despite perhaps Gana, who is really trying to drive a game and grab it by the scruff of the neck. It's why we need another CM, and I don't mean Josh Brownhill!

I don't think lack of pace caused our struggles. The entire balance of our team was off with players playing positions and roles that they just shouldn't be playing.
We were very easy to press and play against because our back 4 and midifield pairing was makeshift.
Square pegs in round holes. We couldn't hold onto the ball or build up any threatening attacks because of it.
Put Branthwaite and Mykolenko in and shift Garner into midfield in Tim's place and we'd have been a different side - not because we've added pace but because we'd have players playing where they're supposed to and doing the roles they're more suited to.

Very poor so far. Barry looks overwhelmed. Hall and Grealish may solidify us but Moyes needs to ditch two in the middle and playing out of the back.

Lose the first 4 or 5 Moyes will be gone , they arnt afraid to pull the trigger.
