Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

We are relying on ndiaye to be on his game to get a result here...no real options other than perhaps grealish...if ndiaye has an off game, which thankfully hasn't happened to often, then we may struggle to change things around with our current bench. Let's hope we dont have that unexpected injured player tonight...

We still have spaces to improve in our squad - but Leeds are one of the weakest teams we'll face.
It's always been a tough place for us though.
We need to go for the win. 2-1 blues. Hopefully Jack can do what Wayne did.

Our starting XI, provided no more injuries, are still more than capable of coming away with 4-6 points from these games.

Beto's problem is that he's not a reliable finisher, but now he ought to be provided with more chances. Barry, nobody knows anything about him, but he'll get through on goal if he plays.

Pickford, Tarkowski, O'Brien, Garner and Gueye ought to make it difficult for any non-elite side to swat us aside.

Ndiaye is good enough to play 'out of position', on the right, coincidentally a position he destroyed England in recently.

I'm going for first two games, 6 points and top of the league.
Agree with most of that, but I'm not sure finishing is Beto's issue mate. He's a good finisher. Fairly certain his conversion rate stacks up favourably against good strikers. It's the other aspects of his game he needs to work on.

1.3/1 vs 2.2/1 does in fact indicate a clear favourite.
Per ChatGPT, having asked it to scan around the bookies for tonight's game:
