Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Typically I’d be very against signing Brownhill because I feel like the focus needs to be on improving our starting eleven to actually improve, but the fact that he’s on a free makes me soften on that. And I’m a bit worried that Gana could pick up some injuries as he gets older, especially with AFCON. Our depth has been so embarrassing for several seasons now. If Brownhill on a free allows us to invest more in a holding midfielder on a perm, I’m for it.

If Dyche had us a few points clearer than we were when they arrived Moyes would never have been back here at Everton and we'd now have TFG preferred manager in charge.

You have to assume that Moyes knows he's on borrowed time here unless he gets us top half.

If my auntie had a pair of balls, she’d be my uncle.

Dyche gave up and manufactured his own dismissal, so your opening sentence is completely irrelevant.

Ps - I do love the way you set completely different standards for different managers, dependant on whatever weird agenda you’re pursuing.

He was on 45k/week in the Championship, and this is his last big contract. He won't be cheap, he won't be making squad player money.

Moyes himself wants us to get top half because he wants Everton to do well. He's not thinking about his job security at all
That's the difference between him and Dyche, and why Dyche didn't have those imaginary points you're imagining

….have to say, I thought this lad was a hugely overestimated and couldn’t believe City bought him, never mind paying what they did for him.

He'd be our top score without a shadow of a doubt.

Of course, the clever people on here were laughing about shouts to bring him here 2 years ago. They know best I suppose...
Chris Da Wood would easily outscore all Everton strikers combined this year…

Yeah at his age and the fact that’s he’s on a free you might be absolutely right. For what’s it’s worth I’d rather just give that spot to Armstrong, but I also won’t be complaining if it happens.
