Yep...not sure why moyes is complaining about..if i bid a fiver for an elite player, the likelihood in the current environment is that it will be rejected. You want players, you need to pay over the odds and offer them wages they cannot say no to. Simple.

I’m disappointed we didn’t go for Mcatee. I don’t know why but it seems everyone playing hard ball with us.

Are you new to David Moyes? I don’t think he’s ever sounded hopeful when discussing anything ever.

Last time he publicly called out the recruitment team it seemed to temporarily jolt them back into action and we signed KDH within 24 hours. Here’s hoping he’s trying the same tactics here.

We didn’t nickname him ‘Dour Davey’ for nothing .

Again - we can't be just doing that willy nilly though. The idea is to stay out of trouble having only just recently dragged ourselves away from it...

At the moment it’s probably mostly Kinnear and Moyes .

We need players...2 ways...one way you get players that we can realistically signed for where we are today as a club...another way is targeting top talents but then you need to pay over the odds...Newcastle did it and it worked. The way we did it, wasn't the right way. We were getting normal players and paying them huge sums of money. Not quite the same.

Moyes wanted more in January, he did not get it...who knows he might be part of the problem too. You would think that closer to deadline day you can get a couple done, but this is Everton...

Moyes pulled the plug on signings in January knowing we’d made such a good start under him. He wanted to save money for the summer

Cal-Lewin, Young, Mangala, Harrison? We were starting with those.

They were largely crap for us and didn’t contribute much latterly tbh. AFCB have lost their GK, CB pairing, LB and starting LW. I’d be gutted if that was us.

If I was a player I'd refuse to speak to Everton knowing their manager is capable of orchestrating a witch-hunt against even a pen pusher behind the scenes.
