Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I'm not going to lie; the last couple of days have been disappointing.

A 15 year old and a third choice goalkeeper and not a peep with regard to a RB and a RW.
I think they will happen, but late (if not deadline day). Unfortunately, we are not in a position to just buy who we want because the prices are nuts. Forest, palace and Fulham managers have all made the same comments.

Things tend to move as you get to the deadline and prices come down a bit or clubs are more willing to do the deal because they either have their own targets, or they realise they aren't getting the mega deal they thought they could get.

player agents also play a part. We'd have signed Fofana already, but he/his agent obviously feel they can get a better deal. Again, that may change if nobody else bites.

It's just frustrating that we end up gambling away the first 5 or 6 games of a season because we couldn't get the right players in early enough.

Honestly surprised the mods on here let Dave wind up people constantly, it's clearly rage bait by him. I do wonder if Davek is actually an alt of a mod sometimes.
What, because I and others refuse to accept lies and mediocre signigs for the most part after massive promises of better things to come we must be shut up?

It’s crazy competitive market. There was a time if a player was 25-30 million, then it would instantly rule out Brentford, Bournemouth, Brighton, Forest, Palace etc.. now they throw that out left, right and centre.

If we want to play with the big boys again, we need to spend serious money on both fees and wages.

Forest have apparently agreed fees for McAtee and Hutchinson, these on top of a new contract for Gibbs White.
We just seem to argue the toss over every penny regardless of the owner.
Want to be successful again?
You have to pay the going rate, we have to be in amongst the European competitions every year, then better players say yes.

But we are going into a new season with a sub standard, patched up back 4 which may well include calamity Keane.

I wouldn’t say that’s a successful window or good preparation for the new season, would you?
And no natural right winger, in fact our best player last season is being shunted there.
