I had a day off yesterday while the club were congratulating themselves at having secured Grealish.

Now they need to move fast to secure at least 4 more signings. The most crucial IMO being RB.

I mean, Jack Harrison was supposed to be a short term stop gap option and we ended up using him on the right with a near 40 year old right back to cover him for 2 seasons!

There's no way as a recruitment team you shouldn't have option upon option upon option ready to go.

I always think Everton look like they start their transfer scouting on the day the window opens, instead of having things ready and lined up to go

Did we not offer wor' Ashley a new reduced term deal and still have feelers out for Jack Harrison this season?

Because sometimes plan A failing and moving on to plan B is not too terrible.

Weird one at the minute is Forests owner apparently put the brakes on spending until the palace appeal and now they got confirmed as the Europa league he's now sanctioned a huge spend - Mcatee for 25-30, bid on Lewis for 25 from city as well and a couple if other 25-30m offers flying around.

Thing is unless I'm mistaken the difference between conference league and Europa even if you say get the final would only be around 20-25m tops.

I think, now that we have Grealish, who wins free kicks all over the place and now two decent dead ball options in Grealish and KDH, O'Brien could be a full time option at RB due to his height. Bit like Lescott.

He's handy to have for set pieces for sure. Although he needs to keep his eye on the ball and see it onto his head - too often he mistimes those headers.

I think he's excellent but I'm not sure where he fits for us with the signing of Grealish, not seen him play on the right, feel he's more of a CAM.

Obviously our priority now should be a RW, RB and DM.

We do need a defensive mid though. How many real tacklers are there in midfield if Gana gets injured and consider Gana is 35.

I feel he’s made to look better than what he is, in that city side. Always looks a weak point to me. They would want silly money which I don’t feel he would be worth.
