Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I’d say if it takes a little longer to get the right people in and the end result is a bit more quality such as Grealish, then it will be worth the wait.

However, hopefully they are working on a RW and RB before Leeds, but doubtful they would start though at this point.

Alcaraz / Grealish and Ndiaye more likely to play behind the striker which I don’t see any problem with, same with Jake at RB if Branners and Tarks are fit.
We need a RB but it is not as crucial as a RW. RB will be of least concern with JOB aptly filling the spot. Would also say a DM and another striker more priority than RB

Right back berth frightens me.

We have a solid stand-in with O'Brien. But that's all he is. He's nowhere near the standard of RB we require to do damage to the opposition going the other way. And if he gets injured / suspended...

I do think that with the addition of either an attacking right back (meaning we can play with Grealish and Ndiaye and three midfielders in The Garners and KDH) or a right winger who stays wide and we can play with two central midfielders and Grealish and Ndiaye with a right winger would solve this problem. Of course, we need both to be able to be tactically flexible, but I do think just one of either RB or RW for Leeds is necessary. Absolutely we need both by the end of the window though.

Exactly.

It's why we've been so maddeningly one dimensional for the past few seasons.

To go into this season without solving this glaring issue will be folly.

After the euphoria of yesterday.
I’m a tad disappointed that no other deals have progressed to almost done.

We still go to Leeds under cooked in terms of numbers and depth.
I think most of us agree with this. I'd add that we're at best a month behind were we should be in terms of incoming players.

But we are where we are ...

Clearly they are trying to fix the problem, clearly they have identified the same issue and have been trying to get a RW and RB. It’s just not as simple as saying go get them, which has also been glaringly obvious.
