This will be the danger of smashing our wage structure. It could be that top players like Pickford have a clause in the contract for parity with top earner, if not they’ll know the new guy is being paid significantly more and want the benchmark raised for themselves via their agents. It has to be handled carefully.
Branthwaite is probably on par with Pickford at the minute.
Imagine how their representives will be if Grealish comes in on double their wage.

Unless they've got clauses inserted to match highest earners.
If they do then Grealish deal will be really expensive.
Grealish has titles to his name...so normal for me that he should be on more money.

I'd usually say yes but his kicking/passing at the weekend was abysmal.
While Jordan Pickford has been our player of the season multiple times and helped save us from relegation.
Might as well bring Scott Carson to the club and offer him higher wages as he a few titles to his name as well.
