Total guesswork but I think we have probably accelerated this Grealish deal because of the failure to get other deals across the line.

I reckon the original plan was get all our other targets in and do Grealish in the final week of the window to get the price as low as possible.

But now the club badly need a "win" so we'll end up getting it done quicker with worse terms financially.

The potential upside of that though (aside from him being available sooner) is that signing him might make us more attractive to other targets.

Wasn't he the one who handed the memo to the journalists saying Denise was put in a headlock?

Whether he typed it up or not, if that is what he did, he participated in brandishing the fanbase as thugs. He and his family should not be welcomed in the boxes at the new ground like it seems they are/will be.
