Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Careful what you say,I criticised the transfer team couple of weeks ago and got slated by the usual suspects.
Although they are still buoyantly optimistic.
Nothing wrong with hoping/expecting that we land additional targets? there's still 22 days of the window left. Loads of movement still to happen across the leagues..

I’m not saying we will buy him but you’d think Leeds will (subject to PSR) have to write this one off. Also, I would expect that Jack is realistic about his salary having lucked in for 5 years!
Question is… would anyone buy him on a free and pay him 50-60k pw?
It wouldn’t be the first time Leeds have done this… they are still paying Fowler his weekly wage aren’t they?
Cant see that tbh think would prob keep him for atleast jan as a squad player. Sure has another 2 yrs left, just looks like deadline day deal for somebody

After watching the last few games I know we need more players but our priority should be someone who can put the ball in the back of the net, I know its still early for Barry but I can't see where the goals are coming from, even if we sign Grealish and or Dibling, both good players but are not known for their goal scoring.

To be fair though, Grealish’s creativity and passing range would massively improve our chance creation.

I think Barry will come good and N’Diaye is decent. From yesterday KDH’s corner delivery seemed a huge upgrade as well - I think we’re crying out for a productive right winger and a proper right back though

Whilst I agree in the main - I also think, at a more fundamental level, we need more quality across the forward positions to start creating more good chances in games full stop. That, at a minimum, should be producing more goals anyway regardless if we bring more 'finishers' into the club or not.

I agree about evolution rather than revolution. I’d rather give the lads coming through a place in the squad.

He’s shown nothing of over 2 seasons here and would be a waste of wages in my opinion.
Oh I'm no fan and I'd rather we promote from within if it's an anyway viable option.

However, as back up, it wouldn't be the worst news in the world for me if the club brought him back.
As others have pointed out, his defensive discipline has always been good.
The problem was always his end product in the opposition half. Which was not good enough for the premier.

Probably a moot point anyhow. Doesn't look like the fans want him at Leeds so another champioship club will probably take a punt on him. It's a level he can perform at

This

It doesn't help that the transfer window and the start of the season are out of sync, but we still have time to make the quality additions.

Think we'd all rather we took our time and signed quality, rather than panic and buy rubbish, starting this whole cycle over again

Moyes wants up to ten in total, not nine or ten plus the five already signed.
Think they are hoping for Grealish and Dibling plus a couple more.
I think we’re 4 down on last seasons in terms of players leaving we haven’t replaced (Mangala, Harrison, Lindstrøm, Broja) if Harrison Armstrong stays then that’s 3 (as he was not available to us last season) can see Paterson going out on loan, so anywhere between 3 & 5 needed. In terms of improving on that, it’s not a difficult ask

This, aligned to a need to attack more as a unit. For a while now, I see distance between our 1 or 2 in the opposition box and additional midfield support through the centre.
Additionally our forward players get too many balls delivered with back to goal and little option but a back pass.
