Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

The mood music isn’t great

Just doesn’t ring true does it? We bid £43m last time and they’re rumoured to be after £50m. There wasn’t a “huge discrepancy” to begin with, let alone after further negotiations.

Feels like window dressing so when the inevitable undisclosed bomb drops, Saints fans can assume that they’ve made us bend over and cough up the “huge discrepancy.”

There’s a swear ban but not a drugs ban.

So are we saying that talking about doing the Clarky Cat incessantly doesn’t hurt your Google ranking?

Interesting.
Depends on how well you play Shatners Bassoon.

Anyway, maybe southampton put their valuation up to 55m next week, maybe the lad goes on strike, maybe they find a replacement to buffer the impact, it'll all work out in the wash.

So what is the preference of all of you whiners? Would you prefer we overpay (risking less money for future and PSR) or that we take less talented players with easier deals? I’ve heard a LOT of your whining but haven’t heard which option between those two you prefer? Because in reality it’s one of those if you want someone NOW.

Of course I know you prefer the magic option. That we get all the best players to sign with us (they don’t care about waiting for CL teams) and it’s all wrapped up super early. Like magic!

Yeah we presumably wouldn’t be flogging a dead horse this long without some encouragement.

Hopefully the JessopJessopJessop will be forthcoming.

Not saying this is something I want, FYI, but I foresee a mad, late loan for Hojlund. Based on nothing, just stinks of Everton to me.

Let’s treat it like a real rumour, though, and have a good old argument. Who’s first?
I could totally see it, too. Davey loves a Man Utd signing. It got me thinking though, when was the last time we signed a player from them who turned out to be decent? Saha?

Joyce reckons our last bid was £37 million, including the add ons. They want £45 million rising to £50m. Not sure this gets done.

Said this to my son today .. half joking. Sell beto get hojlund. Perhaps, 10m price difference.

Love beto too. but this new stadium and regime is making me think ice cold.

When's it happening then?
presuming they are chucking us 10 million plus the Dane. He was a busted flash last year. He needs rebuilding. Not sure we have the time

No he didn't
He said he wasn’t certain that Grealish would want to come to Everton yesterday on his podcast
And that Everton and Southampton are miles apart and he thinks that it’s now a very difficult deal to do. And also he seemed to make out, we’d moved on from Dibling to Grealish
All 3 statements aren’t true
