Because he just is, he’s a much better player. He was part of Leicester team that finished 5th and then was bought by Chelsea and now we’ve paid 25/30mil
Forest finished 17th and got rid of Mangala. I’ve we’d paid 25/30 for Mangala that wound have been a terrible signing. He had about 3 or 4 good games for us

But we're also intent on doing that with Dibling if we can get that over the line. You need the balance. If anything Grealish is a perfect guy to help develop Dibling.

Could literally say this about any player but there’s no world in which a 40 year old Ashley Young would be on Bayern Munich’s books and whilst Barry went for 30 million no one will even take DCL on a free. I doubt anyone would have even paid 30 mill for him this peak.

Mangala was a slow midfield plodder who was the definition of neat and tidy but nothing more. If KDH can run at even an average pace he’ll be more useful than Mangala was.

People are forgetting how poor some of these former players were. Injury prone, slow, inconsistent, really poor output. These new players would almost have to contribute virtually nothing to be worse than some of those they’ve replaced.

Personally I’m willing to take an educated gamble and say that I think he’s probably better than 40 year old Young.

Ashley Young is 40 and will be playing in the championship with Ipswich. He was ok at best for us last season. It’s not a stretch to say that a prospect who was highly rated by Bayern Munich fans will probably be more useful to us this season than Young would have been.

Wasn't he on loan at Luton the season Leicester finished 5th?

Well you'd certainly hope so but to be fair Young massively exceeded my expectations.

I agree with you on the rest of your assessment though.

I'm sure we will have a stronger better balanced squad at the end of the window than we had last season.

I'm intrigued as to whether he will bring in another striker and let Chermitti go out on loan .

Sorry he was on loan when they finished 5th. Played a fair amount that season they were relegated mind.
