Player Valuation: £100m
Can't say we aren't willing to spend if we were gonna do £45m on this kid.
Wish we’d been willing to spend on a right winger a month ago.

I will say that I think people are underrating Dibling, he's a top top prospect and for me levels above cheaper options like Fellows and Doak.
Issue I have with this is more optics, don't want other clubs to see us being bent over by Southampton when we still have a lot of business to do.
Maybe it would be a good idea if Moyes didn't go into press conferences like a rabbit in the headlights telling everybody how desperate we are.Everyone in the world now knows how desperate we are and how much money we have because we’ve been flailing around throwing daft bids in for this player, so everyone will simply tack £10m on top of their asking price for us.
Is it? Still nearly two weeksSpot on.
It's now McNeil playing on the right against Leeds, what a complete mess
Maybe, but who are all these top players lining up to come to a club that has had points deductions, ongoing battles with relegation and countless changes of management? So that part of any best laid plan is instantly out of the window. Also isn't there a little rule about tapping up?Isn't knowing who wants to come and who doesn't want to come a fundamental part of having a plan ?
Price is one thing but no club will accept that sell on clause. As I've said a few times now, I think they know others are interested.
They've publicly named their price - which is pretty rare - with that in mind.
Not seen enough of Doak to argue tbh but I know the view of a lot of people in the game is that Dibling is the outstanding British prospect atm. He’s the potential to be brilliant but it’s a massive gamble and not one I think we’re in a position to take.
Doak is much more of an exciting prospect than Fellows is imo. I’d even argue that for what we currently need Doak fits the bill more than Dibling does.
Think that McAtee was being looked at for the role we've now signed KDH for, so don't imagine we'll go back in for him.My best guess is that we send the same £40m-ish offer to City for McAtee now, and just hope one of the players puts pressure on their club. I’d prefer we look abroad but definitely need to get something done soon.
What it means is they want to sell, so u come back with ur same last offer, they weakened their handIf we walk and it turns out that Southampton were full of ish with their claims of the lad being in demand then this could go really pear shaped for them.
I maintain - that 'counter offer' they came back to us with was a joke and no way are any other club agreeing to something like that..
