Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I think that's part of the problem. They spend so much time faffing around making two minute reveal videos and getting them down to the stadium in a new kit, then an interview.

I'd rather them just say he's signed and it's done. And then they can possibly do all the media stuff nobody really cares for afterwards.
That's not a way to build an online presence. And those can create a lot of money.

And 'I am excited joining the club. Best fans in the world, fantastic history, new stadium. I always hoped this transfer would happen. Matches my ambition, can't wait to do it for the fans.'
Just maybe these things are aimed at our younger fans who can still manage to get excited about Everton?

A Brownhill type on a free would make more sense now on the basis of the fees that we are possibly going to have to pay to address key problems in the side. It's not one that I'd necessarily want but we still need to strengthen the squad. I'd rather find a loan deal with an option if possible, like what we did with Mangala last season, but understand if they went a Brownhill route.

So with KDH undergoing his medical now

Who are the other 5 players you reckon we’ll sign before 1st of September?

My guesses are:
RW - Dibling (£45m inc. addons)
AM - Grealish (premium loan)
CM - Brownhill (free) or loan option
RW - Fellows (£8m) or loan option
RB - Maitland-Niles (£8m) or Justin (£5m)
* Juanlu Sanchez could cover both RB/RW positions but don’t think it will happen.

Possibly room for an experienced ST (on loan) like a Mitrovic / Milik (if fit) etc - Moyes comments on Beto means he has reservations over him being starting striker this term.

I’d then look to loan out Ireogbunam, Onyango, Chermiti & Patterson (sale would be better)
I would be all over mitrovic if he is available

PSR is gone, The PL flat out ignoring the shenanigans of other clubs means it's dead. We just sold our women's team for 50 million we have a naming rights deal in place and a new ground that's going to see our income balloon we restructured debt into more manageable payments, Even if PSR weren't dead we'd still be fine.
Nobody knows how much we "sold" the womens team for, especially if goodison is included or not. If included, I think it is a lot more than the conservative estimate if 60 millions.
