He's been first choice for 2 seasons now and had a solid season in Holland before that as well. Okay, 100m might be a bit much but that's the point. If we sold him at a 'fair' price we'd feel short-changed. Southampton probably feels the same about dibling and I can't blame them for that. But dibling has had one season and not done much more than look alright. One is a gamble, the other a sure bet.

Every few hours I come back on here they've added another 5 mill ha. I'm.not believing this is how the negotiations are going today.

Smells like performative haggling to me. We offered a stupidly low first offer so they can drag us up, they set a stupidly high asking price so we can drag them down. Settles nicely in the middle and both sides look like they’ve done a good job.

2 players better and further on in development have just gone to 2 of the biggest clubs in the world for less than £60 million……

So yes, £100 million is a bit daft.
