If you look at the Fofana & Dibling profiles (u21 wingers) and then see who else may be intetesting, we supposedly asked Como about Diao and Leipzig about Nusa.

Theres not many more outside of the top clubs with elite potential.
I think they are asking for even more for those three and a couple of them have been playing on the left - will want Europe (i.e alot for wages) Diblings only on 5k at Southampton so we'd be paying him a lot less than those three aswell.

Other options - I.e. the likes of McAtee, Doak, Kubo, Fofana and even Fellows as a back-up - remain available and we should look to pursue those options.

Southampton can charge as high a fee as they wish, it's up to us whether we want to pay it. I think it is too high for a relatively inexperienced 19-year-old, especially when we could get McAtee or Kubo for similar fees.

Sounds like they have made approaches/enquiries about all those apart from maybe Fellows , so must be reasons they haven't pursued them and are pushing for this deal instead.

How is it?
- We weren't relegated.
- We made it clear from the very beginning our position and price.
- We didn't need or want to sell.
- Branthwaite had more than just one season in senior football.
- Branthwaite was a key player in one of the best defences in the league.

It depends on what we think he can become mate.

If we sell for 100 mill in 5 years time, we won’t worry about 50 mill, if we don’t we won’t invest - looks like we are going hard for him, more so than others.
He must be Bale level to worth 100m.
Honestly what are the chances?

Explain yourself
Probably the fact that each time we have put a bid in the price seems to be going up/changing. Either we know the price and Hammond has taken lessons from the Kenwright school of negotiating and is just a bit rubbish like @Connor always implies or Saints are just trying to push it big time which tbf we are dealing with Johannes Sporrs (yes that one, ex 777) and we really should be walking way now as this player is not a £50m, not even close.
