We paid over 30m for Onana didn’t we and he was very hit and miss and nowhere near as naturally talented as this lad.

We are the only team out of all of them with 17 senior players on the books. We’ve had a disastrous window and flailing around in the last two weeks picking up whatever scraps are left is not a strategy whichever way you want to dress it up. Properly run clubs don’t do that.

Apologies if you've already posted this somewhere, but out of interest, how do you suggest we should have gne about acquiring our prime targets (let's assume they are Luiz, McAtee, Fofana, Grealish and maybe now Dibling) to date?

As an American I can tell you we aren't missing much. Never understood the link. Ligue 1 is his level at the moment.

I suspect, the only two players we MIGHT get who are major signings, are Grealish or Fofana (the latter very unlikely), and they will likely only be resolved at the end of the window. Biggest deal we might see before then would be Dibling or Dewsbury-Hall, I reckon.
