Sadly im inclined to agree with you at this point . Moyes was the safe bet at the time i get that , but you've got to back him .

The last thing we need going into a new stadium is walls between the owners and the manager.

This will then alienate the fans at some point . We are divided as it is
Tbf, they probably weren’t expecting the manager to bottle it and quit. They also got Kinnear in pretty quickly. He has been unable to get his team in for this window due to notice periods but not really TFG fault.
No one saying the money isn’t there

I’d rather a McAtee as an upwardly mobile player for the now and future, and someone who can make his name with us, but feeling like it’s less likely to happen

If not I would deffo take Grealish

We are so short of quality up top. Ndiaye and Charley have ability but they aren’t top level yet and blow hot and cold

Grealish would be our best player by a mile

We have had cast offs before but they were the likes of Walcott, schnederlin, van de beek etc who were never that good to begin with

He would be a difference maker up top
I don't really get the hype. He just has a high media profile and was sold for a massive fee, which turned out to be a bad mistake. Theo Walcott scored and created more when he was in his prime than Grealish ever has. Even DvdB had way better stats than Grealish, albeit in the Eredivisie.

Jack is entertaining because he takes defenders on. He buys fouls in dangerous areas, so perhaps contributes to more goals than his stats show, but there's no evidence he would transform our team.

Even in his most productive seasons, he's never managed more than a goal every 4-5 games. Only once in his career has he played more than 28 games in a season.

If we even pay half his wages and there's no loan fee, he costs us £7.5m + agent fees, tax, etc. If City want a loan fee of £12m, then he's costing us well over 10% of our annual turnover.

He would need to absolutely transform the team to justify that and I don't see the evidence he'd do that.

Jack Grealish will likely wait until the last days of the window to decide where to go, he will have a lot of offers and if he wants to get back in the England team he needs to choose his next career move wisely

Again though it all points to " oh well we tried " everything can be planned and worked around if needed . You even have dates set that dont change every year when you can sign players lol. Its all controllable

Pretty clear that these owners had no plan - or, if they did, they were hopeless at executing.

Do you really think hiring Moyes was the "plan" when they took control? Or scrabbling around now, being constantly rejected in the dog days of the window like a drunk teen at a soon-to-close nightclub? They've been confounded by events time and time again.

These fellas might pull a few rabbits out of the hat by September 1, but any real hope we had that they would be a serious proposition has shrunk like a pair of Jack Grealish shorts in the wash.

They've been great for Their finances. Fair dues. But right now the idea that they might flip us when they've sorted our finances out is not the dangerous change some of us might have feared...
Fixed that for you mert
