Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I agree Dave. It was an opportunity to put in some positive PR and attract new support and make a bit of a name for ourselves for our American owners and we have done the complete opposite. We have made complete tits out of ourselves and look like unprofessional amateurs. Half of the players getting yards in their legs should not even be in the starting 11.

Players = rubbish

Manager = unbearable and nasty

I cant understand why the Yanks aren't falling in love with us. We're box office.

I'm not sure what, if anything, we can expect in the next week but the "judge us at the end of the window" line is firmly in play after Kinnears interview.

I do think we'll be active in the final week but I don't as easily buy into the impression that it's all due to patience, and cold, calculating negotiation. The manager and the recruitment team are not aligned.

We'll probably make at least one decent signing but a huge portion of business being funneled into the last week or day can't be as the result of any "strategy".

They will get some deals done, miss out on others, and we'll be left short in key areas again. The approach looks haphazard.

There are certainly external circumstances that limit and constrain activity but they are well-known and the task is to find other ways. It's been too much shrugged shoulder from Everton.

Good player but it would be intriguing to know where he fits in this team, we play 2 holding in CM which I don`t think would suit him at all and almost like 3 10s behind the striker. Would he be the central 10 option dropping in to midfield?

Don`t see where he fits to get the best out of him....

A first bid.

Nothing like being decisive is there?
We were solidly linked with him on Friday.

I would presume we aren't just blindly bidding for players, and that we have done some work to determine an asking price.

Which we will then bid according to what our valuation is.

You don't bid for a house without knowing the market value.

Grealish aside, the loans aren’t going to come in until late in the window. Teams just don’t let players go until they know for sure that players won’t be sold.

The bodies won’t come in until after the first few games.

I reckon we’ll only see dibling and maybe grealish (who is a special case as no one is signing him outright) before the first game.
