Should have had Donovan, Howard and McBride signed up to our own channel doing daily interviews and talking up the world cup. Setting the u.s. and Canada viewers up with some background and then these warm up games. It's a market led by consumerism, they commit a full day to the superbowl. The mid game water breaks were crying out for quick adverts. It's what they want, it's what they know, the market dictates.
 
This one genuinely has the potential to be one of our most embarrassing results in decades. No amount of "but it's only pre-season" (a competition being watched by tens of millions of people around the world) or "it's the minutes in the bank that matters" (to players who largely shouldn't be a part of our squad next season) will be able to mask it.
