Of course in a 100m sprint you don’t get bonus seconds (points) for where you are at 50 and 70m which is the slight flaw in the analogy. The make final judgement after the window shuts argument does not negate the validity of also judging whether or not we are ready game one. A well run transfer window would deliver success at both milestones, not just one.

Correct. Whatever else the summer so far does not indicate a well oiled machine behind the scenes.

It looks to me like Moyes had a list of instant players like McGinn and Grealish.

Weve now moved on.

The recruitment department that reports to Moyes and Kinnear?

Kinnear the one who provides the sign off on deals.

Leaving...Mr David Moyes.

It was total madness and a symptom of Moyes wanting full control of transfers, the same as he's always behaved.

Apparently though, out of Hammond, Kinnear and Moyes...hes not accountable as hes the one complaining.

Should be clear by now that hes the one who picked a list of players at the start of the summer.
Grealish was never an instant signing.

He’s the greatest example of the opposite. The money he and City would want is a massive hurdle to a deal.

Analogies aside, the new owners have had to come in to the club and asses its state. Which let’s be straight about was firmly on the floor with no infrastructure or cohesion about it. They’ve had to then replace a manager, survive relegation, finish a stadium, restructure its debt, negotiate a naming rights deal, install a full team of executive staff, recruit a recruitment team to fulfil there wants in the transfer market before being able to recruit the team.

So it isn’t just as simple as the football manager idea most people have in here, they are here to affect change and that isn’t going to happen in one window.

Things maybe bumpy along the way but they have done more in there time here that appears to have a strategy than Bill ever did and Moshiri put together .

Why for investing in the squad?. We’re 💯 going to end up spending around 150m this window. Has it taken longer than expected, yes. But all the other middle of the pack teams are also struggling.
We have by far the worst squad due to squad depth none existent. It is embarrassing going into a tournament in the US with that squad. Yes they will have to spend close to 150millions, that's the bare minimum after years of under investment into the squad. I know it is not TFG's fault. But that's why they got a bargain. Now they have to invest.

They kept Moyes on; then they installed a (half-arsed, half compliment) committee over his head.

Maybe that's what they meant about this being an unprecedented summer.

Why are people so bothered about this US tournament? Because its on SKY?

Kin nora Dave. I would rather be ownerless than have that half wit anywhere near Everton again.

He'll have done more for this club than TFG will do before they sling theoiir hook. That stadium seals Moshiri's status.

Moshiri was a disaster because he couldn't stop meddling in team affairs...but at last he took an interest unlike Friedkin.
