I’m sure we’ll need the full window to bring players in and if that means waiting until the end of August then that’s how it’ll be.

No serious club waits until the end of August to do the bulk of their business. I was under the impression we were going to start acting like a serious club but alas it appears we’re still an utter basket case.

The dealers have just put a couple of grammes through the letter box and the Booze to You lads have just dropped of a couple of cases of Stella.

There`s nothing on telly.

Let's say Grealish and Luiz are two of our biggest targets, in fact our top targets in their positions - it's impossible to sign either on loan until the end of the window. Does that make us a basket case?

That's a bad strategy and a very big reason why we haven't won an August league game since 2021

Judge at the end of the window would only be fair if the window closes before the season. But we have proper meaningful matches to play starting in 2 weeks and always leaving recruitment to the last week of August means the squad will not be ready to win these matches.
