As someone who speaks to Paul (the esk ) daily I’ve never understood the stick he gets, a blue through a through a guy who only wants the best for this club,doesn’t charge or rip of fellow Evertonians for his excellent podcasts,was bang on about Kenwright and Moshiri Ingles and Baxendale sending this club on a one way trip to oblivion, called out 777 and the reprehensible Textor as terrible would be owners correctly and he gets pelters,yet a guy nobody heard off 5 years ago gets leaked info,gains a huge following then decides to profit off it gets lauded ,don’t remember seeing him at any protests, add in getting selfies off Kenwright/ Josh Wander for likes, yeah I know which side I’m on

What is really going on at Everton, we never hear from the new owners, Moyes appears to be blaming the owners for lack of transfers, never hear from the board and the media are just guessing what is going on. Surely as long and suffering supporters who just keep om paying our money we are entitled at least some information.

To be fair, mate:

It’s rare than any owners of any club ever make public statements outside sackings.

Lots of managers (and a few this summer already) express dissatisfaction with support over transfers. Quite rightly in our case.

See first point, re board.

The media are literally almost always guessing about transfers. There is a whole industry now built around blagging semi-plausible rumours to hoover up clicks.

Our sense of entitlement as supporters, misplaced or otherwise, doesn’t change any of the above. Clubs don’t tend to disseminate info on enquiries, or ongoing/failed transfers so we’ll only hear from them when a transfer is agreed at the very earliest. What I suspect you actually want is news that we’re on the verge of signing loads of boss players but I would guess that we’re almost certainly not. Sorry mate.

You suspect wrongly, I do not expect loads of boss players as you put it, so keep your substitions to yourself, I am making the point we have never heard from the new owners or anybody in the club about anything that is going on. Wasn’t my intention to disrespect you mate, just stating that it’s very, very unusual for club ownership or Directors to make any kind of public statement about anything. In our case, we’ve got a new CEO making vague, positive statements but we shouldn’t expect any more than that.

If we get to/past the deadline and haven’t made a significant number of new signings then, given our pretty unique situation, we’d probably see Kinnear attempting to explain himself but until then we’ll get what we’re given. If the stress of slow progress isn’t for you, then I’d probably just swerve the blag transfer news altogether and just wait for the club emails once we do confirm some.

With regard specifically to transfers mate, he’s had a few shouts go spectacularly wrong. Unless and until he breaks some similarly high-profile transfer news first, he’s gonna get utterly disregarded as a source forevermore.

That’s the transfer business in general. Romano gets far, far, far more right than wrong but will get called a fraud for the clangers he HAS dropped.

It’s really not that deep.
