Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I know this isnt football related but it shows how rumours spread and part 3 (16.50)about the psychology bit is very interesting especially at this time of year with the transfer market open

If we are gonna keep signing teenagers we need a few older heads.

Hes on a free and would instantly be our best midfielder.

Its a no brainer for me.

Josh Brownhill would make up the numbers. He wouldn't play over Gana or Garner. He certainly wouldn't play the attacking role. I'm all for adding experience, but has to be better than Brownhill.

The fact they didn't even try to get Walker, Walker Peters or Semedo must mean they think someone better is going to come available this month right? Like they have to have a plan or an idea on someone specifically for right back to be this quiet
Or they see JOB and Patterson as adequate cover and want to prioritise elsewhere (such as left back - done, ST -done, and CM and WF - irons in the fire)

Maybe we do sign a right back, but I believe these other positions are more important to fill first, then let's see how much money we have left at the end of it

The lack of urgency across the club this summer is pretty worrying and hard to understand. Doesn't look like they are as ambitious as we would like them to be.
I think they bought a stadium first and the team in it is secondary in their plans (or thirdly if you add Roma into the equation)
They will be quite happy for us to tread mid-table waters and let the money roll in from the new stadium, concerts etc, etc.
Unless something drastic changes in the next week I don't think Europe and Champions league is on their to do list at the moment.

JOB actually looks far more comfortable at RB than CB atm. I'd be more than happy with him starting there for the foreseeable.
