Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I mean this looks quality. Should be capable of a top half finish if those couple of positions get filled.

May lack squad depth underneath that so that’s where the late loans will need to come in to the equation.

i think i've seen the centre mid and right back somewhere in Crosby

Dont be bloody stupid Tim we are bidding for every Teenager in Europe.
We can only go off completed transfers and not rumours. None of us really know what rumours are true and which arent. As of right now, its August and we don't have a squad that be competitive.

And even if we do believe the rumours, we are just going from player to player making offers but getting no nearer bringing the players in. It might sound harsh because they are only starting, but I have no clue what the recruitment team are trying to do.

We needed players early in pre season to give us a chance of rebuilding the squad and allow players a chance to train with their new teammates. This whole summer strategy is way off what I suspected and I can't follow what we are trying to do.

Its less than ideal Tim, but there is still a month left, we shouldnt be hitting the panic button yet, hopefully Moyes has put a rocket up arses and they attempt to do their job for the next 4 weeks.

I also don't think its unfair to expect better under new ownership than we saw in the last 5 years or so under Moshiri. I expect better than we've had.

Gana is a 6, hes better.

Who else is better mate?

With respect, our midfield is awful.
I respect your view while disagreeing entirely.
Brownhill is a nailed on Championship level player in my eyes . Not even borderline.
But it’s all academic, there is no link , no rumoured approaches and long may it continue that way.
Longstaff is twice the player Brownhill is and I’m glad we didn’t attempt to sign him .
We have to do better than this level of player or improvement will continue to evade us.
We will just have to agree to disagree on this one.

People turned their noses up at Longstaff as well.

I havent even seen Brownhill play, I dont wanna be that guy, but our midfield is VERY bad, Garner is ok and Tim is a work in progress, but im not convinced either would shine in The Championship.
