So far we can say Barry, Anzou and Alcaraz are more on the exciting side with plenty room to improve so I could handle a boring but solid signing like brownhill to make up the numbers, especially on a free. One injury to Gana(AFCON too) and our sitting midfield has no teeth. Brownhill gets about the pitch tbf

We can do better than a player whose sole attribute is to ‘get around the pitch’ , talk about being damned by faint praise!
I would have thought a basic prerequisite of being a professional football is the ability to move around the football pitch .

Just an idea... We should rename the club contractually as "Un-named Premier League Club"... Then when players actually sign a contract we can reveal it's us... At that point it's too late as we have a signature...

Don’t get me wrong , if he had been knocking in 18 goals every season I would recognise your argument.
But career wise last season was an anomaly , and at 29 it’s statistically highly unlikely to be repeated , especially in the PL .

If we are gonna keep signing teenagers we need a few older heads.

Hes on a free and would instantly be our best midfielder.

May lack squad depth underneath that so that’s where the late loans will need to come in to the equation.

El Khannouss - 25 mil

tbf 'getting around the pitch' was the most common praise of Doucoure too
