Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Wingers drifting in is the so-called new thing (although Moyes did that 20 years ago). That's how Pep sets up his team now. Fullbacks are supposed to provide width. There's also a concept called roaming fullback which is basically a fullback who can pop up anywhere, like middle of opponents penalty box. Doesn't have to hold position.

Idea of wingers drifting inside are manifold, mainly it is to create overloads and passing lanes near opponents box and also allow playing two forwards.

Surprisingly the 3 promoted teams seems to get players done easily.

However the teams we are competing of getting players now like Wolves, Palace, Fulham also struggle.

The biggest difference is that almost none of these teams needs up to 10 signings over the summer.
The promoted team are shopping in different pools to us (possibly except for Sunderland signing Diarra)

They also have less of a strong base to build from, staying up guarantee's them £140m and going down they can recoup that by selling on for a profit.

The more secured PL teams, can afford to be more tentative and careful with there finances as there wage bill is usually a lot more

But from who, Chris Kamara?
