Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

That’s fine when we have the ball but when pressing you need pace all over the team. We don’t have any anywhere. I wanted the new recruits to have a bit of searing pace. At least he’ll be quicker than McNeil I suppose.
Hear what you're saying, football is all about the right balance after all but sometimes searing pace comes at the cost of guile which we're also crying out for

We currently do not have a RW at the club, so make a move for a young player and its wrong.

As Fofana maybe we were going to put Ndiaye out on the right until other targets came available. Maybe they are waiting till Fofana says no and we move for Grealish.

Next you will ask why we didn't move for Dibling earlier, Southampton were asking silly money and now have dropped their asking price.

Its not scatter gun, its moving down targets and not jizzing everything we have, like we have done for years
OK, so 1st august, we have been bidding on all sor, mostly LW above our station, then, we suddenly cheuck a randon low (BK) style bid in for a LW and its not scattergun??

Mate, I am an optimist on here and even I am calling it ' fofana and grealish say no - shall we activate operation Dibling?'

The top teams can buy players that have both. Everton seem to only be able to get players with one attribute, it’s either Doucoure with a load of pace and no technique, or it’s Leon Osman with brilliant skill and no pace. We’ve had the odd one like Kanchelskis Rooney Barkley who had both but not many. We seem to have fared much better in defensive players than we have attacking players.

Well he’ll go for 30+ so he must be doing something right, regardless of your knowledge
Not just my knowledge clearly

It's the fact of life I'm afraid when you've been in the doldrums as long as we have. I think the best way to the top is to buy young hungry unproven players and hope with good management mould them into a great side ala Tottenham under Pochettino. It's not a guarantee to work but to me its a better strategy then buying established second tier players who will keep you at a certain ceiling going forward ala the knife to a gunfight analogy
