I’m sorry but how do you go from Malick Fofana to Tyler Dibling in the space of a week.

Sounds like we will end up with younger players which fans like myself like. But not the ready players a manager like Emery gets.e.g. Tielemans, Onana, Bailey, Diaby etc. Didnt really need to develop anyone. Rogers was ready.

I like it too, not Sure Moyes does though. In recent days he’s publicly admitted that we’ve gone for more experienced players but they don’t want to come, but the youngsters are much easier to attract (bar Fofana obviously).

I’m personally glad Moyes isn’t getting his way here, the younger talent is the way to go in terms of the big spending, although an experienced less expensive player here and there wouldn’t go a miss either but they have to cost effective.

Dibling is a talent , no doubt but £35 mill is a huge sum for someone at his stage of development.

That said he ( like Aznou) is the sort of profile of player that we should be targeting.

If he fulfills his potential he has a very high ceiling.

Well. You can't be pleased.

Fofanas tier of player has been attempted and clearly they aren't too keen on joining our project, Dibling is the next tier below, which is unrealised potential and more of a gamble than the upper tier.

Would you rather we go another week or so trying to get the Fofana level players or try and get some fairly good prospects in now for the start of the season?

We are making it up as we go along. No way he was on our shortlist 3 weeks ago.

He's also just not what this side needs as a right winger. He's not that fast, he doesn't carry the ball a great distance and he's not exceptionally creative. I'd take him if he was to be someone's backup, but not as a starter

Perhaps as crazy as our ( fans) valuation of Branthwaite.

Well maybe there is a little bit more basis for Branthwaite but you get my meaning.

He's a Southampton player and they can ask what they want
