The apparent 30/35 million fee ceiling is probably because we wanna sign a few in that price range, and we need that many players in total.

At the start of the window I always had in my head (based on amortisation and fees are paid on the drip) we'd spend purchase roughly

3 x players in the £30 million region


And then a few sub 10 million players

Then top the squad up with loans

So so far we've got 1 of the 30s in and a couple of sub 10s in.

Personally I don't think money is an issue for TFG per se the issue is the amount of players needed and the increasingly apparent incompetence of those trying to close the deals.

If it wasn't a money issue we wouldn't be in the situation we currently are. TFG is not willing or unable to spend a lot of money into Everton. They have giving the guys in charge at the club a budget, and they have to stick to it.

Not really...if the owner doesn't mind then who cares. You can still spread the spending across the contract duration for psr purposes.
