Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

This tour is probably a year 2 early for us and the fact he away and time difference is probably annoying him about transfers, we know he loves being involved and he just not
I think he is much more involved than he is letting on mate, it’s all deflection away from him at the moment.

I would have retained Thelwell for another season. We’ve had too much change in a short period of time off the pitch. Moyes has been the only constant. Moyes knew what was needed but we didn’t have the football operations team in place at the start of the window and we’re trying to play catch up.
I think that may well be true.
I do think if Moyes wanted Thelwell to stay it probably would have happened so I think he certainly carries some of the blame.

At this stage of proceedings some average players to pad the squad out is merely but a pipe dream.
It took years to clear the last lot of average players off the payroll. That time hurt the club massively as it restricted funds and their ability to bring in better players.

As you proposing that we start that same cycle again? I would genuinely rather Everton not sign anyone than give Josh Brownhill a three year deal on £60k pw.

Genuinely this would be what I suggest. A pointless exercise sending that team out there to be demolished and risk further injury to the handful of players we have left.

Disgraceful window. I wouldn’t be surprised if Moyes walked at the end of this month. The recruitment team don’t have a clue what they’re doing.
I said that to the wife this morning, she said the should send the team to the local playing fields for a game, but they’d probably still get beat.
TFG may be good at the business, stadium loans etc. side of things but the actual reason for it all ie. the football team, they appear fkn useless.

The correct personal can sell anything . You're telling me that you cant find a team to sell Everton.

The location in the centre has never been better , the wages can be high again, fresh project and ideas , stable coaching staff etc. Of course arguably the best stadium in the league .

Anyone from a call centre could sell this , which leads me to say the excuses are rubbish. If we wanted them enough they would be here simple.

Has he done anything at prem level to suggest he’s better than garner, I’d say no. Let’s not forget Garner was great in the championship for Forest and he was 20 not 29. I’m no fan of garner and want him gone in 12 months, but brownhill is just another relegation fodder footballer, that we need to stop signing. Sign championship or bottom 6 prem players and that’s where you end up.

Yes mate. I mean, the bar isn’t very high for that like.

I haven't seen the need to panic or wet the bed ......until now.

No one can deny that this has been a terrible transfer window so far bearing in mind the number of players that we needed to give the manager a competitive squad.

The only conclusion that I can draw is that we have been unrealistic in our expectations of who we thought we could bring in and / or how much that type of player would cost in terms of fee and wages.

We appear to be left with no alternative but to immediately pivot and go after players who we know will want to play for Everton.

Time is running out and at a minimum we need a RB , RW, CM ( perhaps x 2 ) plus back up defender and striker.

Time to earn your salaries recruitment team

We all know he is called dithering Dave.

I certainly think he has a part to play in our disastrous summer transfer window.

It’s the same everywhere he goes.
