Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Apparently according to Sky Sports in Italy we’ve bid for Assane Diao .. they want €75m .. haha this market is so inflated 😂

€75m would be €63m profit although Betis get a 20% sell on

You mentioned buying more players in January. We certainly weren't in a position to sell the women's team at that point, nor were we in a position to spend 30 or 40 million on 2 or 3 players then.
But what we spent in January would still be in the account year from July 1st 24 to June 30th 25, so we had time to balance the books. The talk was we were down the line with a couple of signings but Moyes pulled the plug

Those two things make sense.

Don't replace Harrison with more of the same uselessness.

Needs replacing though yeah 🙄

Pretty obvious to me when people are saying we need to ‘replace Harrison’ they mean, we need a right sided midfielder. Not we need the exact player back.

Wild to have to explain that.

But Harrison wasn't a bum on the bench. I literally just told you he played in all but 4 of our league games. Just because you didn't rate him, it doesn't make him an unimportant player in the real world.

Yes to this..... then the 2nd choice then has to replace them in the starting 11 and the 3rd choice is then on the bench.

If we deem Doucoure and Harrison (main stays) as not good enough then it is just trouble when we get to 2nd/3rd choice.

So we have not replaced nor is the team as strong as it was at the end of the season.
We need to hurry up and make some moves and signings, if nothing else to stop some posting absolute bobbins on here.

No one is saying we don’t need to replace Harrison, doucure or Dcl as far as I can tell, but we damn sure need to aim for much better than them.

Theres a reason why dcl and Doucs are still without a club after leaving us and no one has moved for Harrison lads. They played because we had not much else, we have time to remedy that this window.

I also think our 26th choices for those positions will be an upgrade on what we had, if we don’t end up getting our top targets.

There are people actually saying;

‘We don’t need to replace Harrison because he was rubbish’. And yet also saying;
‘We need to be bring a good right winger in’

It’s really very odd.
I can't speak for others but I'm of the mind that Jack Harrison wasn't a major loss although he still needs to be replaced with preferably a superior player. If that takes another week from now to actually secure a proper winger I will tolerate the bereft of transfer activity
